High Streets for All in Bexleyheath
21 March 2022
We Made That have been appointed to lead a team to deliver Bexleyheath’s High Streets for All programme. The team includes POoR Collective and Bohemia Place Market, who will be leading on prototyping public realm interventions with local young people and introducing a programme of night markets respectively.
The team’s work will contribute to Bexleyheath’s high street recovery and delivery plan. Our work will be live, dynamic, experimental and will reflect locally-determined priorities. Work will begin with a period of focused engagement and conversations, followed by a vibrant programme of public events and activities later in spring and throughout the summer. Watch this space!
Power Out of Restriction (POoR) Collective is a social enterprise that focuses on the development of communities through the elevation of young people. POoR sees the power of the younger generation and seeks to get young voices heard. Through knowledge sharing and design, they aim to bridge the gap between communities, bring together a wealth of demographics, and empower the youth of today.
The team behind Bohemia Place Market have been successfully running markets, including night markets in Hackney since 2019. Their events attract large audiences, drive footfall and support local enterprise from diverse backgrounds.
