Vision and Framework for Greenford & Perivale

08 July 2022

As part of the Vision and Framework for Greenford & Perivale, We Made That has been delivering a series of engagement events that will help develop a community-led plan for a more thriving, safer, greener and healthier Greenford and Perivale. Through these workshops we’ve developed a number of proposals based on suggestions and challenges brought forward by the local community.

On Wednesday 15th and Monday 20th June, We Made That hosted two “Priorities Workshops” in Perivale and Greenford, respectively. Hosting focus groups made up of local residents, community leaders, business owners and developers, the workshops built on proposals developed through previous engagement events and tested the proposals with the community. These workshops offered the wider community an opportunity to ensure that framework proposals align with their priorities for Greenford and Perivale.

The role of local people and businesses has been crucial in developing the framework. The team worked closely with Ealing Council to ensure that communities are at the heart of building on the findings of existing consultation being carried out for the Council’s borough-wide Shaping Ealing, Industrious Ealing, and Affordable Workspace projects.

Shaping Greenford & Perivale is a commission brought forward by London Borough of Ealing to develop a Vision and Framework for the two areas. Aiming for strong local renewal and green recovery from Covid-19, the work seeks to unlock opportunities for 20-minute neighbourhoods while informing the new Local Plan. The appointed team is led by We Made That and supported by socio-economic experts PRD, transport planners Urban Movement and quantity surveyors Stockdale.
