Webinars on Places to Create: Thames Estuary Production Corridor Road Maps for Growth

15 January 2025

The Thames Estuary Production Corridor Road Maps for Growth for the Screen Industries and Fashion Design and Manufacturing sectors provide detailed evidence, ideas and action to support partners to better capitalise upon the potential of these important industries.

Join the Road Maps for Growth webinar either 8.30am - 9.30am Wednesday 12th February, or repeated on 1pm - 2pm Tuesday 25th February to discover more about these resources and how culture and creativity can create a bright future for the Thames Estuary.

Focusing on screen, fashion and creative tech, the two sessions will dive into the Road Maps for Growth - a tool to deliver cultural infrastructure that enriches communities and places. These online sessions will show we can:

  • Unlock the potential of the Thames Estuary to become the centre of production for the UK’s creative industries and the benefits that will bring to communities, places and spaces
  • Learn how to use the Road Maps for Growth to generate new jobs and economic growth and nurture local talent
  • Understand the growth of the creative production sector and how this can attract investment, promote land, workforce and institutions as key assets and transform sustainable development.

These will be practical sessions useful for local authorities, industry leaders, institutions and organisations. They will aim to set out the tangible actions and partnerships which can further support the role of the Thames Estuary as a globally significant hub of Creative and Cultural Production.

“As Government-appointed Thames Estuary Envoy, I am a proud supporter of projects that will deliver our Thames Estuary ambition to be a world-leading region for the arts, creativity and cultural production.

Working together, we will realise the sector’s exciting growth potential through the support of new projects, new partnerships, new sector specific and digital infrastructure and by promoting our brilliant sector assets.”
Kate Willard OBE, Thames Estuary Envoy and Chair
